Is there a minimum hire period?
Our minimum rental period is 1 calendar month.
Do I need to visit the site prior to renting the unit?
No, but you are welcome to come and have a look around. Please get in touch with us to book an appointment at your leisure, so we can show you our facilities!
Can I reserve a unit?
Yes, but we will ask for a £40 non-refundable deposit if your move0in date is more than a week after you confirmed your intention to take a unit. This will be deducted from your first month’s rental when you move in.
What are the access hours for your site?
The site is accessible from 6am to 9pm every day. (Our office hours are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm Saturday & Sunday.)
How can I access your site once I start renting?
We supply you with an access code when your rental has been confirmed, and then you are free to come and go within the site opening times. (6am to 9pm every day)
Can I have more than one key for the unit?
We can supply an additional key. A charge of £25 is made for any duplicate keys supplied and you will need to return all duplicate keys when your rental term expires.
Do I need to supply a padlock?
No, we supply a padlock and key when you sign up to Xtra Storage.
Do you require a deposit?
We only require a deposit if you wish to reserve a unit in advance – please see the FAQ: ‘Can I reserve a unit?’ for more information.
What payment methods do you accept?
Initial payments are made by Debit or Credit card, then ongoing payments will be collected every month by Direct Debit.
Can I stop my rental at any time?
We require 7 days notice to terminate the rental agreement. If you move out before the end of the month that you have already paid for, we’ll then refund any unused days back to you (excluding the 7 days notice).
